Chai

Next to coffee, of course (though a very close second) Indian chai has become my favorite beverage. If you've never tried it, I must recommend you do. Starbucks is good, however, I prefer to make it myself. Having learned from someone who lives in India, I have no exact recipe. But here are the ingredients. Each batch turns out a little differently, which adds to the fun!

per serving...though you really can't make just one!
1 tea bag
1 cup 2% or whole milk
1 t (or so) brown sugar
fresh ginger
cinnamon
cardamom
black pepper- just a dash
